Professionalize day-to-day management
When decisions are concentrated in a few people, priorities change without clear criteria, or the budget does not guide operations, management needs responsibilities and a shared cadence.
BFLD Transition · Management professionalization and succession
We organize family business management through strategy, budgets, goals, and clear responsibilities. We review execution monthly through an advisory council format and prepare leaders to transfer responsibilities.
Let's discuss your company's managementContinuity through organization
When decisions are concentrated in a few people, priorities change without clear criteria, or the budget does not guide operations, management needs responsibilities and a shared cadence.
Leadership preparation and the transfer of responsibilities can be part of professionalization. The design respects family agreements and distinguishes ownership, authority, and management roles.
Professionalizing does not require removing the family. It requires making explicit the roles, decision criteria, and commitments that sustain the company's operation.
From direction to daily work
The Foundation baseline is included in the scope at the necessary depth. From it, we build management tools and agree on a workload compatible with the team's capacity.
Translate the owners' objectives into priorities, choices, and initiatives for the planning period.
Connect initiatives, revenue, expenses, and available resources, making assumptions and responsibilities explicit.
Define what to monitor, how to obtain information, who is responsible for it, and which deviations require a decision.
Bring management and BFLD together to examine results, discuss deviations, decide on adjustments, and record commitments for the next cycle.
What stays with your company
The team helps build the budget, maintains metrics, and carries out commitments. BFLD prepares and facilitates the monthly discussion, examines deviations, and guides adjustments. Succession is addressed through leadership preparation and the planned transfer of responsibilities.
An ongoing presence for discussion and guidance
BFLD works alongside management in an advisory board format: preparing discussions, examining information, challenging assumptions, and following up on commitments. The monthly meeting connects planning with operations.
The family and administrators retain their decision-making authority. The advisory role does not create a corporate governance body or automatically transfer management powers to BFLD.
Participants, information preparation, time commitments between meetings, and execution responsibilities are agreed upon in the engagement.
Scope and responsibility
Transition focuses on professionalizing family businesses. Ongoing support depends on the participation of those responsible, the quality of information, and the fulfillment of agreed commitments.
The work does not guarantee family consensus or economic performance. Legal, corporate, and accounting matters requiring specialist work retain their own professionals and scopes.
